It takes Guts to achieve Glory but in the 2014 sportsfest of Pisayers, Grace ruled over them.

Team Grace captured the title and outlasted its rivals during the intramurals held at different venues last Sept. 5-6.

Accumulating 193 points, team Grace walked away with the title ruling over team Guts which accumulated 187 points and team Glory with an aggregate 139 points.

After the dusts settled, team Guts dominated the major events accumulating 69 points edging Grace with 64 points and Glory 54 points.

However, team Grace broke away in the minor events and Laro ng Lahi earning 124 points against the 118 points and 85 points piled by team Guts and Grace, respectively.

Major games and activities included basketball, volleyball, softball, cheerdance, Mr. and Miss Intrams and collaborative publishing.

Furthermore, minor events comprised badminton, table tennis, chess, scrabble and laro ng lahi.

We are glad to have the intrams again. It’s an avenue for us to showcase our sporty side and compete in the spirit of victory and camaraderie”, pointed team Guts skipper Nelvinson Daquioag.

Guts’ pair Rani Amor Serquiña and Ralph Justine Idio swept the showdown of beauty and wit to capture Miss and Mr. Intrams bragging rights.

Due to inclement weather in the first day of the intramurals, games in basketball were transferred to the LGU gymnasium while badminton games were done at the NVGCHS gym.

In the second day of the intrams, the team of the faculty and staff called Templars bested the alumni selection in an exciting basketball friendly, 62-59.

The intramurals is sponsored and organized by the Humanities Department headed by Mrs. Zenaida T. Manzano and the Office of the Student Services Division led by Mr. Daniel Padua.

Sadya ngang makahulugan ang katagang, “It takes more than duties and responsibilities to become a leader.”#
