One good read says, “When God created woman, He was working late on the sixth day” because He shaped her into a person loaded with high standards and specifications, bringing to life and to the present, women whose traits are described in many ways.

To wit:

Women are life refrigerators – they are sometimes full, sometimes empty. But regardless of the number of items they accommodate, they can make everything in their custody cool, fresh, and safe.

Women are like microwave ovens – with the right temperature, they can turn that coldness into warm cordiality.

Women are like coffee – though bitter, they provide one with the perfect way to start the day and be the best choice to keep one awake and hyped up for hours.

Women are like water – they can be freezing cold when their feelings are hurt, or boiling hot in fury when angered.

Women are like clocks – they have the ability to keep everything in synch with time, they can make the best of other people’s valuable time and can be the best person in the household to be a wakeup alarm, sans the snooze.

Women are like a huge bowl of popcorn – they can be your perfect TV viewing party buddy or your weekend movie marathon partner.

Women are like cellphones – sometimes they can easily get drained but are also fast charging. They are loaded with countless elements, from the basic “I-am-just-a-call-away” feature to the complex calculating or editing app.

Women are like a deck of cards – they have the aces, they can be the jack of all trades, they are definitely the queen, and sometimes, even be the king.

Women are like a box of crayons – the colors are as varied and diverse as their mood. At times gloomy, at other times dull; some days dark, but most of the time bright. They could be the embodiment of hope, creativity, abundance, enthusiasm, anger, happiness, love.

Women are like a box of chocolates – As Forrest Gump said, “You never know what you’re gonna get.” Though they are generally sweet, they can also be bitter. And just like the colorful M&Ms, they are hard on the outside, but are soft and sweet on the inside.

Women are like bottles of wine – they are the perfect pairs for the finer things in life like good food and sophisticated dining. Like wine, the more aged women get, the better they become.

Women are like Facebook Status – most of the time, they are just too complicated. Certainly, womanhood is an intricate life: sometimes difficult to understand, sometimes intriguing, but if we zoom in and see the very essence of every woman, they are awe-inspiring.

Last year, one of PSHS-CVC’s ways of celebrating Women’s Month was featuring eight women employees whose stories were worth sharing. Their narratives have revealed their strengths and vulnerabilities, their traits that make them special, their uniqueness that define their personalities, their raw sides flaunting their imperfections that make them perfect.

This year, the PSHS-CVC community will once again showcase women, but their stories will be taken from a different perspective. Expect to see women from the lens of other people significant to them.

Watch out for the testimonies of notable individuals from the other end of the gender spectrum who have much to reveal about their female counterparts.#
