Another alumna of Philippine Science High School–Cagayan Valley Campus (PSHS–CVC) placed 10th in the October 2021 Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examination held at PRC Main Office, Manila on October 2–4, 2021.

Engr. Louise Victoria C. Beltran, alumna of Batch 2015, received a pleasant surprise on day of the virtual Oath-taking when the Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines shared to her the news that she placed 10th in the said exam.

In an online conversation with Engr. Beltran, she revealed that being in the top 10 was totally unexpected because only the top five and the other passers were announced and published.

“Being in the top 10 was super unexpected. I learned about it on the day of the oath-taking, but I did not tell anyone before the virtual program. It was heartwarming to see my family’s reaction when they heard my name during the awarding. I was happy to give them a moment of pride,” quipped Engr. Beltran.

She also expressed her gratitude to God for the abundant blessings and her mother, Judge Marivic Beltran, former PSHS–CVC General PTCA President, who supported her all the way, and who prayed for peace for her daughter whatever the results may be.

Engr. Beltran also thanked her whole family for all the support, and her friends as well, especially her Acad Squad whom she relied on for support and with whom she overcame the odds with.

When asked how she managed to overcome the challenges of the preparations and the examination, she said she followed her review schedule and made sure that she had enough sleep, breaks, and exercise.
