The Philippine Science High School – Cagayan Valley Campus (PSHS–CVC) contingent won awards in the various contested areas of Patalasanlahi 2021.

Leading the pack in the quest for gold was Jielian Faye Quilang (G9) who bested the other contestants and emerged as the champion in the Digital Poster Making Contest.

In the roster of contested activities, digital poster making is the newest contested event and is on its maiden outing in Patalasanlahi 2021.

Arch. Bobby U. Argote, the Unit Coordinator of the PSHS–CVC Technology Unit and the coach in the digital poster making contest, said it was a great challenge to train the contestants.

"In preparation for Patalasanlahi, the contestants were trained by providing them national issues as subjects for their work which they will accomplish under time pressure. During the contest proper, I just told them to relax, remain calm, and enjoy the moment," Arch. Argote stated.

On the other hand, the team composed of Lenard Adam Yague (G10), Darren Marike Noreen Tiongson (G10) and Edan Viel Aguada (G9) placed second runner–up in the Quiz Show for the junior high school category.

Yague was also recognized as the first top scorer in the elimination round of the quiz show.

"In all honesty, all of us in the team were motivated to win. Our eyes were on the award, and our sheer determination fuelled us to give our best. We had a very short time to prepare for Patalasan, so we maximized everything that we have learned during our preps for Valleygsahan. Thankfully, our efforts have paid off," Yague quipped.

For the senior high school level, Raven Carlos Pacito Arellano (G12) landed first runner–up in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, while Judel Lozada (G12) won second runner-up in Dagliang Talumpati.

The coaches/trainers of the students were: Arch. Bobby U. Argote (Digital Poster–Making), Mr. Joel Magday and Mr. Lyndon Lazaro (Quiz Show); Dr. Zenaida T. Manzano (Pagsulat ng Sanaysay); and Mr. Joenel B. Lacaden (Dagliang Talumpati).
