In response to the BOT directive to PSHS campuses to hold dialogues with graduating scholars, Philippine Science High School – Cagayan Valley Campus conducted a program that aims to provide the Grade 11 and 12 students a deeper understanding of college expectations, problems, and challenges, in preparation for their college life.

Patunduan, a Gaddang term for advice or paalala, was adopted as the name of the program initiated by the Life Career Development Program (LCDP). It was a two-part activity program that enlightens students about academic life after high school.

Patunduan served as an avenue for the Grade 11 and 12 students to learn about preparations for college from the testimonies, experiences, and pieces of advice of the guest-alumni.

The first part of Patunduan was held on February 5 intended for Grade 12 students, and graced by the following PSHS-CVC alumni: Kathleen Joy Rivera, Batch 2009; Bryle C. Eusebio, Batch 2014; Patricia Nicole Narvadez and Alyssa Joselle Alba of Batch 2015; and Hannah Keren Duque of Batch 2018.

A second part was likewise conducted, dubbed as Patunduan 2.0, participated in by Grade 11 students.

In Patunduan 2.0, three alumni from Batch 2014 served as speakers: Bryle Eusebio, Jasmine Interior, and Ricardo Roxas II.

The Patunduan series is a program by the Life Career Development Program (LCDP) of PSHS-CVC, through the initiative its coordinator, Mr. Jay-Ar A. Mapilis.#
