To improve the health and productivity of the employees of Philippine Science High School–Cagayan Valley Campus, a wellness program dubbed as “Wellable Me” was conceived and finally launched on February 10, 2021.

The said program primarily aims to develop among the faculty and staff healthy behaviors and practices that will keep them fit and engaged. It is also expected that the program will relieve the employees from mental exhaustion and stress brought about by their duties in school and the challenges they face in the workplace.

On the day the program was launched, various activities were conducted simultaneously like Zumba exercises, basketball, table tennis, badminton, and walkathon.

Dr. Harold Gallo, the chief of the Student Services Division and a sports enthusiast, said, “Everyone deserves an hour or two to destress from our workloads. The program is an avenue to be more healthy and an opportunity to forge deeper bonds amongst us.” For the coming weeks, activities to be conducted include Laro ng Lahi and Minute Meals Preparation sessions.

Wellable Me is spearheaded by Mr. Marwin Ruiz, the Health and Wellness Coordinator, and Ms. Joy Lyzette Carreon, the school nurse.#
