Fulfilling its mandate of reaching out to the community, Philippine Science High School – Cagayan Valley Campus in partnership with parents and alumni launched its Mission Taripatu: the adoption of Sitio Pawak of Barangay Masoc as its extension community through a medical mission last July 12, 2019.

Mission Taripatu envisions bringing year round and sustainable activities to the community of Pawak though the concerted efforts of PSHS-CVC personnel and its stakeholders.

The program seeks to extend help and support to the citizens of the community particularly in literacy, health and wellness and disaster preparedness.

A dental/medical mission was conducted which were participated by parents and alumni. Among the practitioners who came were Dr. Gina T. Rosimo, GPTCA President; Dr. Melanie C. Bautista, DPA Vice President; Dr. and Dr. Esther Remigio, alumni parent; Dr. Katrina Remigio and Jinette Lilian Carreon, alumni doctors, respectively.

Last August 9, 2019, PSHS-CVC donated tiles, roofing materials, bowls and bathroom door panels to Pawak Elementary School in order to build a makeshift classroom for the pupils.#
